Open beta terms of use
Version beta-2026-11-03 · in effect since November 3, 2026
This translation is provided for convenience; the French version is the only binding one.
1. What Left Seat is
Left Seat is a pilot career and airline management game that works with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. It is published by its author, in a personal capacity, and is affiliated with neither Microsoft nor Asobo Studio. The simulator is not provided: you must own it and run it on your own computer.
2. The open beta
- Access is free for 30 days, starting from your first sign-in to the game. After that, access to the game is cut off and your airline is kept as it is (frozen).
- The game is under development: it changes often, it may contain errors, and the server may be unavailable, without notice and with no guarantee of availability.
- Game data (airline, fleet, jobs, cash) may be reset, in particular in the event of a serious flaw or a major change to the rules.
- The number of beta accounts is limited; sign-ups may be closed at any time.
3. Your account
- One account per person, one airline per account. You must be 15 or older.
- You are responsible for your password. Your email address is never shown to other players; it is used to sign you in and to send you account emails (confirmation, password, end of trial).
- Your username, your airline's name, code and callsign, your aircraft and your flights in progress are visible to other players (map, shared sky).
4. Game rules
- Appropriate names (username, airline, callsign): nothing insulting, hateful or offensive, and no one else's trademark used to mislead. A name that breaks this rule may be renamed and the account suspended.
- No cheating: tampering with communications with the server, automating flights, deliberately exploiting an error in the game. An error you find must be reported; exploiting it may lead to the airline being reset or the account being deactivated.
- No attacks on the server and no deliberate overloading.
5. Personal data
The following is stored: your email address, your username, your hashed password, the date you accepted these terms, your game data and the server's technical logs (including IP address) for as long as security requires. Nothing is sold or transferred. You can ask support (Contact page) to export or delete your account; deletion is carried out within one month.
6. Support and changes
Support (Contact page) usually replies within 72 hours, with no guarantee. These terms may change during the beta: the new version is announced on the site and in the game; continuing to play means you accept it.
